The concept of precise blood transfusion is currently deeply rooted in people's hearts. Since 2018, Weihe Biotechnology has been serving the sample testing and construction of platelet gene banks across the country, with a good reputation. So far, the preliminary construction of platelet gene banks in numerous blood stations has been basically completed, and subsequent additions will be made to platelet banks year by year. The focus of our work will gradually shift to connecting with clinical practice and utilizing the platelet bank. Weihe will regularly organize molecular small classes to update clinical cases and share expert insights for reference by colleagues.

Background analysis:
Platelet transfusion is an important method for treating thrombocytopenia or functional abnormalities caused by leukemia, aplastic anemia, tumor radiotherapy and chemotherapy, etc. Accurate platelet matching transfusion is the only way to solve the current ineffective clinical immune platelet transfusion. Weihe has assisted more than 20 blood centers in the construction of platelet gene banks, and platelet banks for HLA and HPA typing have been basically established in various jurisdictions across the country. A towering building rises from the ground, and Weihe steadily builds and improves the foundation for the early construction of the reservoir. Of course, due to various factors such as a slight lack of awareness of clinical typing and infusion, a relative shortage of platelet gene bank donors, and a longer cycle of platelet preparation, the development of clinical work still requires our full efforts.
Next, Weihe Biotechnology will conduct clinical platelet matching lectures throughout the country. Our strategic partner in Guangzhou is Guangzhou Zhili Medical Diagnostic Technology Co., Ltd. The company has a strong technical background, abundant clinical resources, and a strong team execution ability. On July 28th, with the joint promotion of Weihe Biology and Zhili Medicine, the clinical hematology directors of Guangzhou Southern Hospital Pediatric Hospital, Guangzhou Medical University Second Affiliated Hospital, Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, and Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Jinshazhou Hospital jointly guided the launch of a clinical promotion meeting for platelet matching transfusion. The attendance reached over 100 people and received unanimous praise from various blood centers and clinical experts.
